Abstract
The metallurgical characteristics of the work material play an important role in Electrochemical Machining (ECM). The effects of workpiece grain size and electrolyte velocity on the surface produced by ECM are discussed in this paper. Surface profile analysis together with scanning electron microscope studies brought out the significant role played by the above two parameters in surface production, particularly on the short wavelength irregularities of the surface produced. © 1981.
