Abstract
A powerful quadratic convergence curve fitting technique of Fletcher and Powell is employed for the evaluation of complex permittivity of polar liquids at 0.45 cm wavelength. Computer analysis of data points illustrates the suitability of the free space methods for low, medium and high loss liquids. An identical technique has been successfully used for the plunger method at X-band frequency.
