Abstract
The model system Rh/SiOx/n- or p-Si(111) was studied. Charge transfer from the support to the metal was ascertained in the Rh/SiOx/n-Si(111) system by evaluating the Rh M5N4,5N4,5 Auger peak shift and the XPS binding energy shift of Rh 3d5/2. Results are discussed together with consideration of a cluster model for the SMSI. © 1986, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
