Abstract
The thermally stimulated current (TSC) technique is quite useful for studying the dielectric properties of materials. In the present paper the theory of TSC for systems having a response function exp (- t τ)β with 0 < β ≤ 1 is described. This non-exponential response function proposed by Williams et al. does not necessarily involve a distribution in relaxation times or activation energies. Hence the interpretation of TSC data without resorting to different distribution functions is possible. © 1979.
