Abstract
A continuous Engng, contact method of measuring the respiratory movements of men and animals is described. The technique is based on measuring the back scattered CW microwave radiation by the upper torso of the subject. A microwave bridge making use of a single horn (monostatic type) monitors the back scattered signal proportional to the respiration activity.
