Abstract
We experimentally demonstrate the dispersion and nonlinearity tolerance of optical duobinary modulation and its utility to increase the reach and split ratio of passive optical networks. Error-free transmission through 100 km fiber with split ratio of 1 ×128 is successfully achieved.
