Availability of a Special Series System

The purpose of the paper is two fold; i) To obtain the availability of a 2-unit series system with a special shutting-off property, and with all the repair distributions general. ii) To extend the result for a n-unit system with general repair distributions which has practical applications in radial distribution systems of power supply.
