Abstract
In this work, we evaluate and report network utilization and connectivity issues in WiFi deployments with data collected from 100s of access points. We study AP-client session data, such as the association start time, association end time and average SNR (of the session), collected from four enterprise WiFi deployments in India over a period of 45 days. We analyze the session data to characterize the spatio-temporal utilization of the WiFi deployment and connectivity/coverage anomalies in the network. The insights derived are useful in various aspects of cell planning, radio resource management and network management.
