Abstract
The exact frequency equation for the transverse vibrations of a piezolelectric layer of crystal class 622 is obtained and analyzed numerically. The problem is also solved by using an asymptotic method, the results of which are compared with those obtained from the exact frequency equation. © 1982 Martinus Nijhoff Publishers.
