Simulation of optical front-end AGC amplifier for Gain adding/current dividing configurations

In this paper design, simulation and optimization of AGC amplifier, for the front-end receiver of the high speed optical transmission system, have been done. Characterization of Gain Adding, Current Dividing and Modified Current Dividing type AGC amplifiers using spread of the transistor parameters as well, i.e., frequency response, dynamic range and dependence of the output DC level fluctuations on gain variation are investigated and compared.
